New York City Stays Undefeated
02-08-2010

This past Saturday, February 6 in West Point after the third leg of North East League, New York City THC continued it's dominance by winning all three games, and extending it's winning streak to 9 in NEL.

First game was against New England Freeze. We won 22:16. In the first half both teams were slow in getting started, and ended the halftime with the score 9:9. In the second half New York City picked up the intensity on defense, and with few fast-breaks converted by Djordje Radovanovic and Zoran Ostojic the winner was never in question. Zoran Ostojic was the top scorer for NYCTH with 6 goals.

Our second opponent was NYAC. NYAC this time came with a stronger group of guys to West Point. Nonetheless this didn't help. New York City THC won 19:17. The top scorer in this game was Thomas Brunet with 5 goals.

Third game was against Army Black, which was also the last game of the day. Army Black tried a intense man to man defense almost during the entire game. As opportunistic this style of play is, it's also very risky. It took a lot of running, and energy but our guys were able to finish the game by winning 30:24. Lluis Pedragosa was on a shooting spree, and finished the game with 11 goals for New York City.

In the other games Army Black easily defeated New England Freeze, but lost to NYAC by one goal. In the other game NYAC lost to New England by one goal difference.

After three rounds of North East League, New York City THC has secured first place in the first group no matter what the outcome of last round, which will be played in March or April in Boston area.
